This song was originally called "When the Sky Melted," but due to unforeseen ideas the title was changed. It is written from the perspective of a cohabitant trying to tell their comatose companion of the changed world beyond their home.
The shingles on our rooftop kept the sky from seeping in
It melted oozing over Home to pool upon the gravel ground
Thick and heavy syrup blackstrap blue fuscation dim
Descended on the earth but we were sheltered so we didn’t drown
I wanted to tell you, I wanted to tell you
But I couldn’t wake you, I couldn’t wake you
I wanted to tell you, I wanted to tell you
The soil beneath our windows may have tried but couldn’t swim
It may be screaming screams below the sky but we can’t hear a sound
So enveloped by such shrouds do planets cease to spin?
You’d not expect a wheel to turn within such viscous thickness bound
I wanted to tell you, I wanted to tell you
But I couldn’t wake you, I couldn’t wake you
But do rotations matter now that ocean’s met its twin?
All that we knew from looking up we still know when we’re looking down
Let’s raise our eyes to gaze where azure once held clouds within
To see what heavens we can see now that the world’s been turned around
I wanted to tell you, but I couldn’t wake you

Just the music and lyrics I needed right now. Never heard of Seeming before. Randomly stumbled into this record and fell instantly for it. All songs nicely add up to one body, one album. Hut ab! janusrig
